What are the 254 of you reading right now?
More than 100 of you have subscribed in the last month, mostly by finding me through one of my long lists of books. I’m thrilled to have found like-minded reading friends, so going forward I want to periodically hear from you about what you’re reading!
There is a question that can be loaded if you don’t already know the person you’re talking to.
“Have you read anything good lately?”
I only ask this to friends who I know read, because I don’t ever want to shame anyone who isn’t a big reader. I personally love this question, even though I usually have to stare blankly ahead for a few minutes while I scan through recent books and pick out a good one. (If I’m really brain dead, I have to pull out my phone or journal and look at my reading tracker.)
My recent posts on 25 of my favorite long books and 13 of my favorite book series have brought in so many new readers, and I have especially loved reading through all the comments with recommendations. I already have posts in the works with all the recommendations from those two posts, but many of the comments on those posts were from people who didn’t end up subscribing and were just passing through.
I’ve been sharing what I’ve been reading for almost 18 months, but I’m interested in finding out what you, whether free or paid subscribers, are reading—and then sharing with you all the most mentioned titles, the ones that jumped out to me, the ones I’ve also read, and more.
And if you’re not reading anything—maybe the fruit of this list will help you find something good to read. (Some of you may not be readers, and that’s fine. This is a safe space.)
So leave me a comment; reply to this e-mail; text me; send out the Bat-signal and tell me:

The Midnight Library
I’m nearing the end of two incredibly long, 1,200-page books. Amazing books.
I started War and Peace, and the Kristin Lavransdatter trilogy, in December (4 months ago.) I’m reading W&P in a big paperback version, P&V translation, and KL on my Kindle Paperwhite, and that has worked out very well for me.
(I just found your feed this morning. I’m in Georgia too!)
