Arenβt books the best?? I am slowly working my way through War and Peace by Leo Tolstoy, Regeneration by Pat Barker (WW1 was truly horrific), and The Stand by Stephen King. I just finished Dissolution by Nicholas Binge. It was pretty good, although a little heavy on the sci-fi for me. Loved the ending though!
Try reading an abridged version of Les Miserables. That lets you appreciate the story without 70b pages of backstory on Waterloo and 60 pages of how much better it would be to use human sewage for agriculture instead of letting it go into the sewers.
And I laughed out loud at your 66 vs 67 dilemma! ππ

Iβd love to know how you feel about The Stand!
Iβm limiting myself to a few pages a day, and itβs hard not to binge it! King is so good at world building!

I'm not sure my inner book snob will permit me to read an abridged version. I wish I wasn't the way I was. I'll consider it!
