I recently finished listening to The Boys in the Boat. I think it's a great book for several reasons, primarily because of the triumph of the human spirit, proven so wonderfully, which took place in the years just prior to the start of WW II in Europe.

I loved Dead Wake.
I’ve read quite a few of Eric Larson’s books so will definitely check out the one about the Civil War.
I like some of his other ones better but it’s still a great book!

It’s such a great story, and I really wasn’t familiar with that aspect of pre-war Europe before reading it!
