I read books in a day ALL the time, even now. It's very fun to sit down and just tear through a book. Shorter audiobooks are a common culprit for this. Most recently I've read Shakespeare in one sitting and blasted through several audiobooks on road trips!
I always associate reading books in one day with being a kid and having free time! I read Charlotte's Web in one day in second grade and thought it was so cool I'd read a whole book in one day! And then I read the LotR books in one day each in sixth grade and also thought I was so cool lol.
I definitely did it way more as a kid! And I’m super impressed with you getting through any of the LOTR books in a day—that has to be such an amazing memory.
I'm a fairly slow reader, certainly the slowest in my family. I read around the same speed I talk, someone's even imagining the author's voice if I've ever heard them. Because of that I don't know if I have *ever* read a book in a day.
