"The Kingdom, the Power, and the Glory" and "Jesus and John Wayne" are both soooo good! I probably won't check out "Money, Lies and God" based on what you said. Thanks for sharing that!
I've also seen that "Koresh" book around in bookstores and was always curious about it because I love reading about cults. Thanks for writing this, Chelsey!
Yesss, you should! I've been thinking about doing that too because a lot of my friends love cult books, so we frequently share recs together. If you do publish a post about that, please hit me back to let me know!
Have you read Hollywood Park by Mikel Jollett? It's a memoir. He was born into a cult and eventually left and became a musician. It's probably one of my favorite memoirs of all time, just in general, but also because it's about a cult.
Looks like an excellent reading month, Chelsey! I so enjoyed The Most Fun - I had the privilege of hearing Claire Lombardo speak at an event earlier this spring and it was so interesting to learn about her writing process. I hope May brings you more fantastic literature!

Looks like we have similar reading tastes--one day I'll make a post of all my favorite books about cults, haha!

No, that one wasn't even on my radar! I just added it to my Goodreads list. Thank you, Chelsey!

What a treat! I really loved that one.
I am about to start Raising Hare and because of your review I'm really excited to get into it!
